String Orchestras of Bear Creek High School Instrumental Music Program

Bear Creek High School offers two levels of orchestras, String Orchestra (Open Enrollment) and Chamber Orchestra (Audition).

We perform at least four public recitals every school year: October, Holiday Spectacular, Spring, and End of Year
Both orchestras also participate in Colorado American String Teachers Association (CASTA) Competitions in the Spring.
Participating students are eligible to audition for Jeffco Honor Orcehstra and All State.

Chamber Orchestra

The Chamber Orchestra (Orchestra Adv) is an audition only co-curricular ensemble. Auditions for Chamber Orchestra are held the previous Spring and are open to any Bear Creek High School student that plays a string instrument. The Chamber Orchestra performs at various concerts and contests throughout the year.

String Orchestra

The String Orchestra is a co-curricular ensemble that does not require an audition. They perform in various concerts and contests during the school year. The String Orchestra is open to any Bear Creek High School student who plays a string instrument.
