Open Board Positions

Programs like ours do not exist without the help of many volunteers. In addition to volunteer time to support regular activities, we continue to need leaders as families transition in and out of the program.

How to Volunteer

Requests for volunteers are always sent through CutTime.

Just look for the "Volunteer Sign Up" link to see a list of available volunteer positions. Need help? Contact the Volunteer Coordinator for assistance

Volunteer opportunities & Responsibilities

Marching Band - Football Games and Competitions

Total Marching Band Volunteers Needed: 40+

Chaperones (2-4)
Pit Crew (10)
Props Crew (13)
Podium (2)
Truck Drivers (2)
Food/Hospitality (4)

Pit Crew (10 volunteers needed):

Responsibilities: Moves front ensemble instruments and sound equipment from the staging area to the competition field and back to the trucks.

Props Crew (13 volunteers needed):

Responsibilities: Moves props from the staging area to the competition field and back to the trucks.

Podium Crew (2 volunteers needed):

Responsibilities: Moves, sets up and breaks down podium from the staging area to the competition field and back to the trucks.

Chaperone/Uniforms (4 volunteers needed):

Responsibilities:

Arrive at school with kids
Take attendance
Load buses
Ride the bus to and from the activity
Stay with students throughout the event
Help with water to keep kids hydrated
Uniform prep
General supervision, including first aid and sunblock reminders
Stay with the band all day

Note: This is a full day responsibility and cannot be combined with any other roles.

Hospitality/Food (4-6 volunteers needed):

Responsibilities: Help prepare, cook, shop, set-up, serve and clean up at competitions and band camp

Truck Drivers (2 volunteers needed):

Responsibilities:

Drive equipment to and from competition and events
Arrive at school when kids do and stay all day

PLEASE NOTE:

Drivers, Chaperones and Hospitality will be included in the head count for our food needs. Since they are there all day and required to be with the students, they will be fed. All other volunteers should plan accordingly. In the past if there was downtime in between performances, you may grab a bite elsewhere.
