  • Comprehensive program including multiple Concert Bands, Orchestras, Jazz Band, and Percussion.
  • Extra-curricular music ensembles include Winter Percussion, Winter Guard, Pep Band, Pit Orchestra for the school musicals, and Chamber Ensembles
  • Quality instruction and resources to keep student learning high (coaches and specialists in band, orchestra, percussion, dance and guard)
  • Bear Creek’s Instrumental Music Program consistently earns high rankings at State festivals.

Reasons to be in a High School Instrumental Program

  • 92% of people who play an instrument say they were glad they learned to do it
  • 66% of students accepted to medical school were MUSIC MAJORS
  • According to a US Senate report, students who participate in music have the lowest levels of current and lifelong use of alcohol, tobacco and illicit drugs among any group in our society
  • Studies have shown that young people who participate in music score an average of 82 points higher than non-arts students on SAT tests
  • Students who participate in school music programs feel connected to the school and traditionally do well in the classroom
  • Students learn to express their humanity at an artistic level
  • Students in the music program learn the value of hard work, leadership and cooperation 
  • Music students learn to be better citizens
  • Music students (of all grade levels) make the acquaintance of hundreds of peers who share a common interest 
  • Music students may get tuition assistance for college as a result of musical abilities
  • Bear Creek High School Instrumental Music is a family, working together for each other
